October - My Month!

So here we are.....October 17th!  October is the greatest month of the year!  I'm not sure if it's because I was born in October, although that is a pretty good reason.  The main reason is because the hot air of summer is behind us, the leaves are changing colors, the cool winds are starting to blow, and before you know it the holiday's are here!  Turkey, Pumpkin Pie, Stuffing, Pumpkin Pie, Yams, Pumpkin Pie.....do you think I like Pumpkin Pie?

The Real Estate Market has given a lot of people reason to complain......BUT, it has also given A LOT of people reason to Celebrate!  Homes and neighborhoods that were out of reach last year are now more than just a dream to many......they are a reality!  Why?  Low Interest Rates, Low Prices......what a great time to Buy a home!

Where does the time go???

Hard to believe, but the summer is now gone and fall is here!  Fall is my absolute favorite season......cooler temps, nice sunny and breezy days......love it!

Since my last post, I have listed and sold many homes.  The Real Estate market is definitely challenging, but it's a job, so why do so many agents complain about it?  Like all jobs, there are good days, bad days, and days that never seem to end.  But when it's all said and done, what is more rewarding than helping someone achieve the American Dream......home ownership.

I love my job, in the good times, the bad times, and everything in between!

Crazy Times in Charlotte!

Crazy times in Charlotte!  Real Estate is still moving, and so are people.  Many investors have stopped buying...WHY?!?  Prices and interest rates are low.....I closed an investor deal last month where my buyer had an interest rate of under 4.75%.  Low prices.....low interest rates......why not buy now?!?

Hopefully (or not) I will be able to dedicate a few hours a week to this BLOG.....if not, it's because I'm working with people who are taking advantage of the market.

Two weeks later......

I can't believe it.....two weeks since my last post!  There is a lot going on right now, and I love being in Southwest Charlotte!  Great food, great friends, and a lot to do!  Played Tennis tonight, and been working on a couple of new listings.  There is one in particular that is coming up in the heart of Steele Creek.....very unique, over an acre lot, all brick, two garages, in ground pool, for a price you won't believe!  Stay tuned!

Realtors Care Day 2010

On Friday, April 23rd, I have the rare opportunity to lead a group of approximately 20 Realtor volunteers who will be working on a home on Barringer Drive.  There are approximately 35 homes and families receiving help from the Realtor community, and I am thankful to be part of such a huge community effort.  Our team will be doing exterior painting, yard work, and most importantly installing a new roof.  We are working with Habitat for Humanity on this home, and look forward to a great day!  More photos tomorrow.....I have attached the "Before" photo tonight.  Check out link from Charlotte Observer:  http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2010/04/21/1388735/realtors-care-day-will-help-struggling.html
